Even a legitimate telephone survey can open up a person to identity theft as small things are learned about you. The systems the identity theft thieves have make it too easy to get someone’s personal details. The theft is worth its weight in gold for many fraudsters as well. A new credit card survey completed on Ireland consumers found that 37 percent of card holders are experiencing trouble paying their credit card bills. The survey found that 17 percent of the adult population doesn’t even have a current account. They further found that 61 percent of the consumers in Ireland don’t have credit cards, but that is not stopping the 39 percent that do from having issues. (more…)

A new poll is suggesting that only 30 percent of those who went on holiday this year created a budget and stuck to it. For the most part Irish consumers were not able to hold to their budget or even thought of making one for their holiday. This overspending on holiday is leading to constraints elsewhere in their financial life. For many who went over their budget, credit cards were used or are now being used to supplement income.
