MBNA Munster Rugby Credit Card

Credit cards are helpful things to have and if you are careful enough you could get a card that pays you back in some way for your purchases.  The MBNA Munster Rugby Card is going to offer you rewards for using the card and having it in your wallet.  We will talk about the benefits of this card as well as some drawbacks to help you decide if it is right for you.

You can support the Munster Rugby team by having this card.  Each time you use the card MBNA will make a contribution to the Munster Rugby Club.  These contributions go to helping you enjoy watching the game and there is no cost to you for the contributions.  You also get to enjoy some other benefits like getting merchandise with the team logos and such at a discount or by getting some reward points.

Next you have an introductory balance transfer rate of 1.9 percent APR.  This rate lasts for six months from the day the account is opened and not when you receive the card.  While this is a pretty great rate there are better offers such as the zero percent for 12 months, but that isn’t going to have the Munster Rugby option.  If you feel you can pay off the balance transfer in six months then this card could be for you.

After the introductory rate is over there is a 16.9 percent APR.  This is the same rate as you have on purchases from the start.  If you are using the card for the rewards you get to show your support of the Munster Rugby Club the APR is a little high.  Most cards offered through MBNA have 14.9 percent to 18.9 percent APR’s.  While this is in the middle it is still higher than other options.  If you can pay the balance off every month in full and on time you can earn 58 days of free interest on purchases.  That is their reward to you.  It’s a pretty great reward since you don’t really want to pay the 16.9 percent.

They have online account services to make paying your card down easy.  There is no annual fee, but a government duty charge that is annual.  They also offer 24 hour customer service and fraud protection.

Any credit card that you have in your wallet should work for you.  We have mentioned that there is a balance transfer options.  This option is pretty great if you don’t use the card for purchases during that time.  You see credit card companies like MBNA pay off the amount that has the smallest interest first, so while you are paying 1.9 percent on the balance transfer, if you make a purchase during that 6 months you would be paying 16.9 percent until the balance transfer is paid off in full and the purchase you made is also paid off.  The purchases are paid second to any introductory offer.  The rewards for the Munster Rugby Club are worth it if you enjoy their games.
